La formación, ¿es tan importante para invertir correctamente?
Somos conscientes de que muchos ahorradores, y así nos lo transmiten, tienen ciertos recelos a la hora de comenzar a invertir sus ahorros. Creemos que esto es algo normal, especialmente si echamos la vista atrás y vemos el largo historial de productos que durante años la banca tradicional ha colocado a sus clientes, sin valorar si realmente eran o no convenientes para ellos.
Es por ello que creemos que la formación financiera es algo imprescindible para todo ahorrador. Tengan en cuenta, que cuanto más formado está un cliente, más sencilla también es la labor del asesor financiero, y por tanto más satisfactoria puede ser la experiencia de invertir.
Un cliente formado, podrá valorar si el producto que le están ofreciendo es o no adecuado a sus necesidades y objetivos, y por tanto podrá determinar si encaja en su cartera. Lógicamente, esta es la principal labor del asesor financiero, pero no podemos caer en el error de dejar todo en manos de un profesional y olvidarnos de nuestras inversiones.
En nuestra opinión, creemos que es muy importante y productivo para los clientes, que se produzca un «tandem» o lo que es lo mismo, una especie de equipo entre el asesor financiero y el cliente. Por eso, creemos que además de que es asesor debe esforzarse en explicar todos los detalles y características de la inversión propuesta, el cliente debe también irse de la reunión con la total tranquilidad de que la inversión planteada es la adecuada. Es por ello que no hay que dudar nunca en preguntar todas las cuestiones que surjan sobre la inversión o cartera propuesta.
Por otro lado, los clientes que están más formados financieramente, son capaces de reaccionar mejor y con más eficiencia a los diferentes movimientos y comportamientos de los mercados, ya que son capaces de entender cómo funcionan estos. Errores como la falta de paciencia a la hora de invertir, o dejarse llevar por la codicia o el pánico en determinados momentos, son más fáciles de subsanar si se tiene cierta formación.
